Features

  • This high speed coil winder has been developed by using the NITTOKU-made, compact FA controller. By using a 180° indexing mechanism, core loading can be performed in parallel with the coil winding process. Furthermore, the tool transfer loading method is used on the indexer. Production on the KIO machine results in consistent winding profiles and high quality products.
  • The transfer tooling can be supplied with quick-change features. Therefore, easy specification changes can be performed within several minutes including program change.
  • The wire clamp mechanism ejects the scrap wire by the same mechanism of wire clamp release. Reliable scrap wire ejection can be performed without any remaining wire nor scrap wire getting in winding.
  • A preventive device removes vibration of center former (option).
  • Optionally, a wire stripping device can be attached for high quality wire stripping. For after-processes such as fusing or arc welding, the bad parts ratio can be reduced
  • Considering ease of operation and maintenance, this machine has a simple design by reduction of the total number of parts. In addition, the total machine footprint is compact.
  • With the tool transfer features of the KIO, an automatic free flow system can be provided. So small lot production of a family of similar products can be automated for a highly efficient manufacturing process.
  • Winding is performed on the core directly by 'nozzle arc motion' of nozzle flyer. This stabilizes the tension and makes good layer winding possible.
  • Each unit is standardized for easy replacement.
  • Flexible system construction can be provided, such as automated multi-spec small-lot production and operatorless production.
